fly_tornado Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 have you ever build a balsa model plane? probably need some wood working practice before building.
kaz3g Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 But put an 0-320 in it...then it will be an aeroplane. Kaz 1
beefy Posted January 30, 2015 Author Posted January 30, 2015 There is one for sale. It's a 1964 model but one owner from new!
pylon500 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 But put an 0-320 in it...then it will be an aeroplane. I would have thought it would then be like a Pitts Special !!!
fly_tornado Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 There is one for sale. It's a 1964 model but one owner from new! what condition is it in? wooden planes don't last forever when they get exposed to moisture. 1
DonRamsay Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Talk to Old Koreelah - few would know more about a D9 then him. There's an excellent thread about his at Jodel D918 (http://www.recreationalflying.com/threads/jodel-d918.129994/)
kgwilson Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Is this the one you have in mind? Bruce is one of our club members and has looked after his D9 like a baby since he has owned it. He is selling it due to his age and as his health is not getting any better. Have a look at http://graftonaeroclub.com/sale 1
microman Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 There are a number of D9's in NZ and they are well-regarded. This one looks to be immaculate and obviously has a good history. There is no reason if it has always been hangared and protected from moisture why it should not last for ever. At $8000 its a steal. Would buy it myself in a heartbeat if it was in NZ!
