Guest Mangoes Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Hi, Anyone got any feedback on the Terrier for ease of construction from kit and it's flying abilities, particularly cross country. Steve
TechMan Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Not from me. Additional questions from any of our kit manufacturers would be; 'quality of kit components' and 'factory support when things go wrong'. Those are things I would consider also. Once the aircraft is rigged properly, I believe it flies quite well, although they can be very heavy (empty weight). I believe the move to LSA is in progress for the Terrier. I would personally put an Amax or Sub4 redrive in if I were to fly behind a Subaru engine. Good luck. Chris 1
Guest danda Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 http://www.suziauto.com/aero1.htm This mob sell a gearbox for a subaru engine I don't know how good they but wouldn't a gearbox be stronger and more reliable than a redrive? Don
Guest brentc Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 If you are interested I can put you in touch with an owner of an aircraft of the canine variety. You know how they say if you don't have anything good to say don't say it at all? Let me just say that often a 'covert' post is the best kind ;)
TechMan Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 If you are interested I can put you in touch with an owner of an aircraft of the canine variety. I'm impressed, there is actually someone that reads their magazine and doesn't just look at the pictures (like me)
Guest brentc Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Nice spot. You obviously know what I was referring to. My covertness would rival any SAS platoon.
