Just wondering if anyone headed out to the casa Seminar at ballarat last night?

 

Wasn't able to make it in the end and wondered if there was anything interesting brought up or shared?

Hi Jay,

 

Yes - I did. The main topic was actually the number of aircraft movements at YBLT (the highest of any non-towered airfield by quite a margin) and consequent relatively high number of recent near-collisions.

 

The flying training schools there obviously contribute significantly to the high number of movements. Various potential measures to improve the situation were discussed.

I did not know it was on and I used to operate out of there and would have gone most likely. I can imagine the traffic being an issue. Ballarat is a bit of a success story. It's on a Heritage overlay. Nev
