Geoff13 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 You can't get much simpler than that. There is probably only one person who knows and if they had not long been solo, they might not even know
fly_tornado Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 TP don't rush to conclusions without all the facts
poteroo Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Just as a matter of interest, has anyone on this forum flown a Cessna 162 Skycatcher? I have heard that they are somewhat more sensitive in pitch than their cousins, the C150 and C152. That might be a factor in student accidents? happy days,
shafs64 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I was going to. but found them lacking leg room.
NovemberFoxtrot Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Ive got 40hrs in the c162. (One of the ones that PFA had written off in the storms too). I havnt flown the C150 or the C152 to compare to it, but i didnt find them all that sensitive. Responsive, but not overly sensitive. Ive been in the C172's the last few weeks converting to RPL, and it feels very similar to me. Id flow the J170's before and didn't notice much difference when converting from it to the C162.
GAFA Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Flown all the Cessna piston singles including the C162 and I found it not much different to the C150/152 in pitch sensitive.
shafs64 Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 they have replaced there c162 with a sling now.
rhysmcc Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 they have replaced there c162 with a sling now. Any idea of the hourly rate? Looking forward to flying a sling when I'm in Brisbane, they seem to be highly rated.
shafs64 Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Yes they are charging 299 supervised Solo. I was flying the same aircraft for 180 private hire,
GAFA Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Gofly at Caboolture and Caloundra have 2 Slings on line and they are cheaper than any school at Archerfield.
