magishme Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Hi Guys, Are there any VH registered Cougars flying? Would be interested to find out more on the 4 seat capabilities. I have an RPL with Nav endorsement and will be looking for a 4 seater soonish.
Jaba-who Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 A search of the CASA aircraft register shows one. VH-LDV based in Atherton. Since that's where I now fly out of, and I have never seen or heard about it, I am wondering if it is in the owners home shed in the process of being built.
nomadpete Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I didn't know you could register a Cougar. Maybe I should let my ex wife know about this! 2
rgmwa Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I didn't know you could register a Cougar. Maybe I should let my ex wife know about this! I think you may be confusing `register' and `certify'. rgmwa 2 1
skeptic36 Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I didn't know you could register a Cougar. Maybe I should let my ex wife know about this! I think it's ok if you have them desexed and microchipped.....
Jaba-who Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Yep. If you can get hold of one you can get them certified ( or at least certifiable) there's a register for them. If you can't find one you can make your own. To paraphrase Lord FlashHeart " get inside 'em five times a day and take em to heaven and back!!!" 1
Guernsey Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I didn't know you could register a Cougar. Maybe I should let my ex wife know about this! If that is the case, I'm not sure if you would want three passengers along for the ride. Alan.
Marty_d Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I think it's ok if you have them desexed Then what's the bloody point??
nomadpete Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 I think you may be confusing `register' and `certify'.rgmwa Aaah, RGMWA, I see you have met the lady! Yes, now that you mention it, 'certify' may be more appropriate. 1 3
pylon500 Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 So you're going to try and carry four people on an RPL?

Garry Morgan Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 The Cougar in Qld is finished and ready to fly , it has moved to just south of Cairns. It is a 4 seat. There is not a lot of change in performance I am told at 800kg I am going up to look at it next month . 1
magishme Posted April 21, 2015 Author Posted April 21, 2015 Make sure you get plenty of photos Garry.
