On todays episode I talk with Matt Hall who is a Red Bull Air Race Pilot and former RAAF FA-18A fighter pilot, Fighter Combat Instructor, combat veteran in the F15E Strike Eagle with the USAF. Matt talks about a number of things including his passion for educating pilots including the different stages a pilot goes through in their flying career starting from the learning phase progressing to the experienced phase then finally onto the mature phase. Yenn Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Not so impressed with Matt Hall, he arrived at an airshow and asked me where he could get some tie down equipment. He wasn't prepared and he blamed "them" for not puting tie downs in the plane. My take on this is that the Pilot in comand has to be responsible, especially when he is preaching good airmanship. 1

My favourite part was when he was talking about his humbling moments in his career, its great to know everybody has them and people can move on and learn from their mistakes. To be honest, I don't really remember one part standing out more than another. I really just couldn't put the book down. Wish I could single out a couple of points for you. Great podcast too, btw. Have some interesting interviews lined up for this weekend: - interview with an aerobatic pilot and flight school owner - interview with a cirrus instructor and glass cockpit expert Shoukd be interesting! 2 1
