kudos74 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Hello Everyone , I just landed here. I have wanted to fly just for fun since I was a little fella. Last year when I turned 40 I told myself “ Self, stop dreaming about it and go and get it done ” Then when I found out more about the recreational pilot certificate I thought “ Why didn’t I do it this way sooner. So here I am with a few navs to go to get my x country endorsement. Will I go onto PPL with IFR ? What aeroplane will I purchase? It doesn’t matter as long I fly safe and keep on having fun . Looking forward to getting to know you all here. 4
recflyer Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Welcome and well done on getting your certificate and progressing towards your x country endorsement.
facthunter Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Don't rush into purchasing a plane. It's not easy to get the right one for you. There's a lot of discussion on various threads on this site about Syndicates hiring etc. IF you want ultimate assurance of the planes condition you need your own plane and a selected hangar. Costly and you would have to do a lot of flying to justify it, but the ultimate situation. Nev 1
