Does everybody have wildly variable GPS alititude values reported in Followmee. Just trying it out on my Android phone in my pocket riding around on my quadbike I am getting 400 metres variation in altitude, my hills just aren't that big!

I don't understand...

I enjoy a little humour, makes the forum a lighter place to visit and helps bump newer topics, especially requests for help like yours, to the top where they are seen.

I apologise for disturbing your thread in such a manner, won't happen again.

Does this only occur when running the Followmee app or is it happening with the native android GPS app?

Only used the Followmee android app.

Just thinking that it could be the phone itself that is the cause or the Followmee app. Might be worth trying another GPS app to compare.

GPS altitude is generally far less accurate than horizontal position, for some reason to do with satellite geometry.
