old man emu Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 In the local New Jersey press: http://www.mycentraljersey.com/story/news/local/hunterdon-county/2015/05/04/judge-slams-readingtons-solberg-airport-take-plan-abuse-power/26867311/ I'd love to read the judgement document. OME 1
Guest ozzie Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 It was a week of wins in the US for aviation. Here Mile-Hi Skydiving had a win from a long drawn out case over Citizens for Quiet Skies. http://www.timescall.com/longmont-local-news/ci_28163472/judge-rules-favor-mile-hi-skydiving-longmont-noise
Aldo Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 I wonder if we can entice this guy to move to Australia and practice here!
old man emu Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Although an Australian Court would not be bound to follow a legal decision made in another country, it would be considered unwise of a Court here not to acknowledge a foreign decision if the matter involved the application of law that were closely related in spirit and effect. I'd say that if you operate from an airfield and have neighbours who whinge about the noise, bookmark the report of the Mile-Hi Skydiving case. OME
