dazza 38 Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Nothing Illegal about seeking asylum. We signed onto the International Convention for refugees. Through the United Nations- which was actually started by a Australian, Doc Evatt. And one of the small boats they were forced onto, was not seaworthy. It broke down before reaching Indonesia's shore. No that was under the previous government, this government would prefer to use military force. And at the same time really anger our biggest neighbour. Who gives a $hit about the Indo's, they are nothing more than corrupt monkeys.

Leaving Indonesia without going thru the proper channel is illegal. If they do get to Australia by boat it would also be an illegal entry. United Nations Protocol against the Smuggling of Migrants by Land, Sea and Air, to which Australia is a signatory, defines "illegal entry" as "crossing borders without complying with the necessary requirements for legal entry into the receiving State".[7]
Litespeed Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Who gives a $hit about the Indo's, they are nothing more than corrupt monkeys. Ouch That sounds more than a little bit racist. Corruption is another matter. Given we had a government and wheat board that actually paid large bribes to Iraq whilst we were at War, we are world class at corruption. No it's not, they are entering the country illegally. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-09-06/morrison-correct-illegal-entry-people/4935372

However, experts warn that the use of the terms "illegal" and "unlawful" in this context is potentially misleading, as they are words usually applied to criminal acts." 1

Fortunately we have had no more illegal entries since the present government did what they were elected to do, stop the boats. Happily no more deaths have occurred at sea lately. 1 2

No. We are never told what actually happens as it is a "on water matter" and they have still arrived but then been taken to off shore processing centres such as Naru. IF any boats have sunk on way or after been forced back- we will never know about, To say anything other than this is wishful thinking or arrogance on the scale of a MAD MONK.

It probably sounds racist because I am racist.
