planedriver Posted June 24, 2015 Author Posted June 24, 2015 For those that were wondering, it was filmed at Duxford in the UK at the Battle of Britan Airshow in 2010.
Old Koreelah Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Thanks for that Planey! Best viewed with decent headphones. Now I have some idea of the sound my mum heard in the darkest days of 1942, when she watched 52 Kittyhawks fly over heading to New Guinea. They weren't in formation, but it must have been a stirring sight and sound after months of bad war news.
ayavner Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 I was there.....and it was unbelievable So how can you be sure?

Ada Elle Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Duxford's got a great museum as well, encourages you to touch the planes.

Mick Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 They could only round up 11 Spits to fly together when I was at Duxford in 2014, but 4 MkI's together was something not seen in a long time. The middle group in this pic are the MkI's.

Marty_d Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 11 is 10 more than I've seen flying at one time! Love Duxford though.
