ayavner Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 sigh... http://www.australianflying.com.au/news/casa-extends-jabiru-restrictions 1
fly_tornado Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 well, no one killed since the instrument came into effect, so it must be working... 1
gandalph Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 As opposed to before the instrument?? Sadly FT there have been too many killed since the instrument came into force. Not wishing in any way to trivialize those terrible incidents but none were Jabiru powered. 1
Geoff13 Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 But if you go back through the RAA incidents over the past 6 months there have been several failures. Considering the fact that many are simply not doing the same hours the figures are interesting.
facthunter Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 If aircraft are utilised less the rate of failure /hour could be expected to increase. Nev 1
Kaywoman68 Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 I've signed the statement the couple of times I've been invited to go flying. Found the new instrument. CASA 102/15 - Conditions and direction concerning certain aircraft fitted with engines manufactured by Jabiru Aircraft Pty Ltd - F2015L00974 https://www.comlaw.gov.au/Details/F2015L00974 Validity: 1 July 2015 - 30 June 2016 1
