Kyle Communications
What AHRS units are you using for the Ipads?
Kyle Communications
And I gather you are using the Xtreme EMS there
Ultralights
yep, the centre one is an Xtreme EMS, but will primarily be for engine monitoring, and a third backup PFD. the AHARS for the ipads are Ilevil AW's both independent of each other with own battery backups. with ADSB In. Kyle Communications
I have 2 of the Xtreme EFIS but one is just used on the engine but of course can be a backup EFIS. I just scored a AHRS module for my EKP-V this week. One of the aircraft parts wholesales put out a end of year flyer and they had 1 only of them for around 1/4 of the normal price so I picked it up and will install it this weekend while I am replacing my dash. You need the dash mount to do it with the EKP-V to be able to fit it and i have the mount so its just a USB lead plug in to the dash mount. Ultralights
can you mount the AHRS module for the EKP remotely?
Kyle Communications
Yes it has about 1.8 mtrs of cable with a USB plug on the end. So if you needed to mount it further away you can just use a USB extension cable as the dash mount has about 4 USB sockets in the back of it. One is for the remote GPS antenna as well
