Camarillo VTOL concept plane

This concept vtol plane was on display earlier this year at an airshow in Camarillo USA. Looks pretty sexy to me, but I don't know whether it's ever been off the ground. Do any of you guys know anything about it?

They are developing what amounts to a type of gyrocopter using a combination of a slowed rotor and wings to combine VTOL and high speed flight.

 

I think it is a very exciting concept. They are very advanced now.
