fly_tornado Posted July 18, 2015 Author Posted July 18, 2015 Its interesting what a repressive society America has become, because someone's house was damaged there is an expectation that someone is guilty of a crime. HAGAMAN — A propeller fell off a single-engine plane this afternoon and sliced through the roof of a home in the Montgomery County village of Hagaman. Fortunately, police say, no one was hurt. The homeowners on Green Acres Lane weren’t home at the time. And the plane had enough altitude and speed to glide into the pilot’s nearby private landing strip without incident. “The biggest thing was nobody was injured,” said State Police Senior Investigator Jeffrey Ullman. “This was an older plane, but it was a pretty good size propellor. So everyone was very lucky.” Ullman declined to identify the pilot, who wasn’t charged following the 2 p.m. incident. But the Federal Aviation Administration was notified as a matter of protocol and will conduct a joint investigation with state police.
turboplanner Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Its interesting what a repressive society America has become, because someone's house was damaged there is an expectation that someone is guilty of a crime. It doesn't say that anywhere in the report you quoted. are you a press reporter?
Kiwi303 Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Ullman declined to identify the pilot, who wasn’t charged following the 2 p.m. incident From that, I would say the original reporter was expecting the pilot or mechanic to be found guilty of something. Reckless endangerment maybe? Leaving out the "who wasn't charged" makes it a more neutral story.
Guest ozzie Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Good score. Straight to the 'poolroom' with that.
