winsor68 Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Let's hope that is the flying God's three and they leave it there.
Rotorwork Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 Twin engined plane turns out to be a Bonanza. Good on you ABC.
alf jessup Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 RW Its called the ABC because the reporters don't know anymore of the alphabet so what hope have we got
turboplanner Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 You're just as bad as the people you accuse. Read it again, the ABC didn't say "We said etc", they said "AUTHORITIES said"
gandalph Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 No wonder it crashed, the second engine not only failed, it fell off completely! Lucky he had the other one to get him to the airport ok. Glad they're both ok though 1
facthunter Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 You don't have to shut it down if it's really missing. The U/C and Flap lever are too close together on some planes that feature prominently with undercarriage problems....Nev 1
Old Koreelah Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 You don't have to shut it down if it's really missing. The U/C and Flap lever are too close together on some planes that feature prominently with undercarriage problems....Nev Cockpit ergonomics often seem to take a back seat to aesthetics. Grouping levers and switches in nice neat rows is bad design. I like to have switches and other controls near the relevant instrument.
facthunter Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Gear lever and flap lever should NEVER be located together A lot of people legitimately raise flaps after landing to improve braking. Nev
Guernsey Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Gear lever and flap lever should NEVER be located together A lot of people legitimately raise flaps after landing to improve braking. Nev It slows you down both ways. . Alan. 1
SDQDI Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 It slows you down both ways. .Alan. Gives a "short" landing roll new meaning............ (As in the plane is not as tall! But I guess you got it:wink:) 1
