Roscoe Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Does anyone know if this event at Narromine is going ahead this year? Tried to Register a couple of weeks ago, no luck.
Nobody Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Yes it is!!!! This email was sent to SAAA members a few days ago. Dear SAAA members Ausfly is only 5 weeks away! From 4th to 6th September, pilots and aviation enthusiasts will converge on Narromine, NSW for a weekend of fun and fellowship, education and shopping. SAAA will present a series of workshops, including wood, metal and composite construction, electrical, propeller maintenance, preparing for C of A, Schedule 8, AD/ENG/4 and test flights. There will be TC and Chapter President meetings, as well as the SAAA AGM. At the AGM we will vote on the adoption of an updated constitution. We have an impressive list of exhibitors offering a wide range of aviation goodies, so bring your credit card! You will also be impressed by the array of air show performers including the Roulettes. Why not enter your aircraft for judging – there is a wide range of categories. Awards will be presented at the Ausfly dinner, by our distinguished guest speaker. Dinner will be a serve-yourself buffet, with cheese platters, a main course with a choice of hot meats, salads and dessert. Bookings for dinner can be made via the on line shop at www.saaa.com There are a limited number of tickets, so don’t miss out – book now! Accommodation is available on the field in the form of comfortable tents in the caravan park, or you can pitch your tent under the wing of your aircraft. Just let the marshallers know you want to camp with the aircraft, so you can be marshalled to the camping area. There are various motels in and around Narromine and Dubbo for those who prefer a little more comfort. In order to run such a splendid event, we need volunteers. If you can spare an hour or two, we have plenty of tasks to be done, from marshalling, aircraft judging, crowd control to staffing the registration desk. Please contact us at [email protected] to put your name on the volunteer list. Looking forward to seeing you there! 1
