Gnarly Gnu Posted August 6, 2015 Share Posted August 6, 2015 Flaring too high - firstly get used to the view when the aircraft is sitting on the ground, this is what it looks like with the wheels in contact. When approaching touchdown be a little braver and resolve to go closer than you did previously before rounding out, you recall the view when the aircraft was on the ground and you aren't that close yet (I hope). Secondly it took me a while to learn the elevator is quite sensitive so small movements at this point. Thirdly ask your instructor if you can do a few low level flights along the runway just off the surface to get a feel of the handling in this zone & carefully play with the controls a little. 1 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
