derekliston Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 Second time this has happened. Just popped up on Facebook. SNCAC NC1070
red750 Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 You obviously have the same Recommended For You on Facebook. Drats, spoiled my secret.
facthunter Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 What hope have I got? I don't "DO" Facebook. Nev
red750 Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 No nibbles in 26 hours. The plane is a McDonnell F3H Demon. 1
IBob Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 They need to sweep the sand off that aircraft carrier..........) 1
red750 Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 The Heinkel He.178 is regarded as the world's first jet aircraft. Which jet was second?
facthunter Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 The Italian one may have used a piston engine for the compressor part of the Jet engine. Nev 1 1
kasper Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 I’ll go with the gloster e28/39. The me262 is reported to have flown the month before but that was with piston engines with turbojets after the gloster. caproni was not a true turbojet so not like for like 1 1

red750 Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 You are right about the piston engine, Nev. The N.1 is given credit as the second jet on a number of websites, including Wikipedia and Planehistoria. The He.178 first flew 1 year earlier. 1

I presume the new jet engines were far from reliable.
facthunter Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Dreadful.. Can't see why it would even get past the drawing board stage. Nev

facthunter Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Maybe the designer's Mother had shares in the company. Nev
Marty_d Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Looks like a Photoshop job to me. Reversed Gripen perhaps.
onetrack Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Photoshop, and a pretty bad photoshop at that. You can see where the cockpit has been at the nose, they could've at least rounded off the fuselage! Eurofighter Typhoon, badly modified by a 16 yr old with a computer, and lots of time on his hands. 1
Marty_d Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 The fact that there are no intakes for the engines, but more seriously the CG must be about a metre behind the TE, are giveaways... 2
