Birdseye Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 My first thoughts were that it was an ugly F*cker. An S-11?
Flying Binghi Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Nice and quick, and correct. This is another oldie. Dunno what it is though it has nice lines. An early Mk of a Stearman perhaps ? .
red750 Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Yep, precisely. This one will probably go quickly as well.
Flying Binghi Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Re - naval aircraft factory n3n-3 Reminds me of an Avro Cadet I seen at Chewing Gum field out the back of the Gold Coast. Though I think they had the motor sitting well forward.
Flying Binghi Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Yep, precisely. This one will probably go quickly as well. Whatever it is it looks similar to the aircraft that sat unflown and rotting out on the tie down line near Gil Layts school at YBAF for many years.
kasper Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 "Under". Nah. The tops been squished. Maybe it was doing a jump and landed on top then decided to drag the remnants home as a prize ?
derekliston Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Yep, precisely. This one will probably go quickly as well. Pereira Osprey?
red750 Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 That's right FV, Taylor Coot Model A. This one looks like it was inspired by the Ligeti Stratos.
red750 Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 I might have got this on wrong. I found the photo on a page written in French. I cannot read French. It now appears that it was a model, probably proof of concept or similar. Further searching uncovered this image on a page headed Colab the revolutionary wing of the future, clearly signed G2: I will upload the next one from my computer when I get home. (I'm at the Men's Shed at the moment.)
derekliston Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 It's another oldie. Straight out guess. Fairchild Argus?
