kasper Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 That’s a SWIFT. Swept Wing Inboard Flap Trim Foot launched as a rigid wing hang glider/glider or powered like the one here. Several manufacturers over the years but likely aeriane built.
red750 Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 You're right again k, as usual. This one should be simple, also.
kasper Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 I don't believe it.... No. Ok. Try the Aeritalia G222
red750 Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Got it. Just a bit more than half the size of the C 160, and the predecessor of the RAAF's Spartans. You will no doubt know this oldie. 1
kasper Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Glassgoose then Deleted the petrel post as I realised it didn’t have the boom fuse
red750 Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 OK guys, kasper has thrown down the challenge. Anyone else want to guess?
pmccarthy Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Challenge: it IS a Glassgoose, or some minor variant of one. Perhaps a Seahawker.
red750 Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Aero Composites Seahawker is how it was listed in the source of the photo. It was listed in the FAA Registry as a Seahawker (rego now expired). I did not check it's lineage, sorry.
pmccarthy Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Fair enough. The Glass Goose was based on the Seahawker.
red750 Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Correct weight. The only rotor craft in the list (so far).
Admin Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 @red750 and @kasper - do you guys need to get a room Keep them coming, they are great 2
red750 Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Correct PMcC. Ian, you'd think so. It's hard keeping up with kasper. Not letting the others get much of a chance, but there are a few who manage to get a word in edgewise. The one below is number 23 of 47 since working on the laptop. I'll have to finish off the A's and start on the B's.
red750 Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 I know it's too small to read, but it's the only way I could get it on the one page, however this will give you an idea of the list of manufacturers. This is just the A's. I have not chosen any gliders, weightshift, rotorcraft (with one exception), airliners, common GA or LSA aircraft, and most military aircraft. There are also many manufacturers who may have between 3 and 50 aircraft registered around the world, but have no photos on the database.
red750 Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 OK. The yellow plane is no. 24 of the new collection, which has now reached 75. You have your work cut out for you.
pmccarthy Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 I think we need a clue on this one, it looks too generic. Where is Kasper when you need him?
