Student Pilot Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 Looks like a Kitten derivative, Jessie Anglin design originally.
440032 Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 Could we see some pictures of the pizzas, might be able to identify them. 1
red750 Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 Unfortunately they are unrecognizable now. Too much toilet paper. Come on guys, someone must know what it is.
onetrack Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 A Zlin Savage? (No, wrong - I realise now, the struts lower anchor point is wrong for a Savage)
red750 Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 The white and red taildragger is a Rocky Mountains Wings Ridge Runner. Something a little different.
Guest Machtuk Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 Red you are the King of finding the ugliest A/C man ever designed!?
pmccarthy Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 I would say a Sabrina, my dad would have said a Mae West.
Thruster88 Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Wow! Seven hours. OK. What about this one? Privateer Industries Privateer
kasper Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Thruster has it ... but I hope they put at least 1 door on the other side over the wing ... don’t fancy trying to use the doors on the side we see when it’s in the water ?
red750 Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 Yay! Somebody has been pouring over the books or interwebby.
kasper Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 Well its an odd duck ... the way the rear half is built looks like a variation on an old Canadian ultralight available for home build - the Striplin lone ranger or sky ranger ... but the front half and wings are just wrong for it them. IF someone decided to build completely different wings AND move the engine down from above the wing AND they put floats on the resulting aircraft I'll guess a variant of the Lone Ranger - doe not look wide enough for the two seat Sky Rnager.
facthunter Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 Most of these planes are obscure for a good reason. Nev 1
red750 Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 You're good kasper. It was on the Canadian register as a Striplin Lone Ranger Silver Cloud, deleted in 2003. Reg C-IDLK, now assigned to a Paratour. You will probably guess this one before the ink is dry.
Student Pilot Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 Hippy, Hyperlight derivative with a tail made to look Stagerwingish. Many moons ago there was a bloke in Box Hill Melbourne had a design looked exactly the same, might have been built from aluminium. Edit: Looked up Hyperlight and came up with Sorrel
kasper Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 Close but it’s the sns-2 guppy not the later Hiperbipe or hiperlite. Plans online all over the place. Originally flew with either the solo or the r277
facthunter Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 Think there was one of those at Porepunka. Someone had clad it in light Al sheet in Lieu of the original fabric. Nev
red750 Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 Yes, the SNS-2 Guppy. SNS - Sorrell Negative Stagger. The SNS-7 Hyperbike is in the Showcase.

red750 Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 No. This one is European and has a slightly larger wingspan. Specs on it are limited.
cherk Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 No. This one is European and has a slightly larger wingspan. Specs on it are limited. Ahh ! I only looked at the thumbnail pic ! It's a two holer.
red750 Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 The yellow and green parasol aircraft is a French Potez 60 Sauterelle, a 1930's trainer. 1
Flightrite Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 This sure is an interesting thread whilst we are imprisoned !?
