kasper Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Looks like the Bellanca Skyrocket ... and I do have a job, its just lots of waiting for batch processing to run ;-)
red750 Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 I'm retired and in quarantine, so I've got time on my hands. Yes the Skyrocket. This one might be a tad more difficult.
kasper Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Well with that level of good looks ... and the italian airforce roundel - its an italian prototype. I recall seeing it in a flying magazine from back in the 1950's and think its called the sagitarius but without googling can't remember who built it or if thats the actual name May I google??
red750 Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 That's close enough. Ambrosini Sagitario. Now this ugly thing.
kasper Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Thats the Rutan Predator cropduster prototype ... and yeah it would kill bugs just with looks 1
red750 Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Well, that's kept you busy for the afternoon. Time out while I restock.
Thruster88 Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 No picture for this one, got the words from Facebook. Best all rounder hands down. Fast, efficient, near perfect control harmony and response, decent short field performance, low maintenance. Aerobatic plus the sample size is huuuge so your flying something well known tried and true!! So what is it?
Student Pilot Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Burt's mob were prodigious producers of aircraft.
Student Pilot Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 They did have a couple of "Sort of" conventional aircraft, a few even had the wings on the right way round 1
onetrack Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Blackburn B.48 Firecrest. A Naval strike fighter destined for the British Fleet Air Arm after WW2. It featured a very unusual double inward folding wing.
onetrack Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 The Volante Flying Car prototype, designed and built by K. P. Rice, of Volante Aircraft in Santa Ana, California. It has been "under development" since 2003.
red750 Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 kasper the other day, you tonight onetrack. I can't keep up. You must be using the same database I am. 1
Student Pilot Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Blackburn Kangaroo comes from a long way back in the brain.
red750 Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 Looks like picking old aircraft is no way to trick you, so how about this newer one? I have a feeling it might go quickly as well.
Student Pilot Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 I usually go on memory, haven't seen that one. Looks like a metal version of a Cirrus or something it was based on. Just had a close look at the photo, looks like it's in Australia at Latrobe Valley. Has a bit of a Gippsland Aero look to it.
pmccarthy Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 Mahindra-NAL CNM 5 with an Airtourer in the background.
Student Pilot Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 Fokker derivative? Ford produced his own copies after inspecting a Fokker, only his were all metal I believe. The tail/fin in that photo looks very Ford.
Student Pilot Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 Had a close look, it looked Italian so I googled Caproni, came up with similar aircraft but not the same.
red750 Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Time to name the highwing metal plane - it's a Hamilton H-47. Let's try this one.
