Phil Perry Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I am pretty sure he got it horribly wrong, very sad. I think that is a fair speculation Teck,. . .with the information released so far, I don't know if the AAIB will be able to nail the Absolute most likely cause, but the report I posted was interim, so there is more to come. They do this occasionally, when there's a high profile incident. it will be very interesting to see the final conclusions.
Phil Perry Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I would think that as a pilot that was involved in 11 deaths and many more injuries- he would be haunted no matter what the gutter press say.I also think the blame lies at his feet but time will tell. I also think he should have tried to change his path away from the cars when it all seemed lost. Yes that would be fatal to him but it may have resulted in no other deaths. I do not know if that was posible but should have been tried. The golden rule in my mind is do not take others with you. This is what Airshow Safety regulations are all about Sir,. . . shame they didn't work well in this instance. Dented the UK Airshow safety record "gold standard" a bit hasn't it ? Extremely sad all round.
