Guest icthus8 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Just joined. Student pilot yet to go solo (soon). Wanted to fly since I was 15. I'm older than that now.
lprigan1 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Welcome! Where are you doing your flying? Going solo is an amazing experience - I have a few solo hours now but that first solo circuit was probably one of the most memorable moments of my life.
Pearo Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Wont be long. Once you go solo, the licence comes very fast. Are you doing PPL? If you sit your RPL at Bankstown, does they make do the CTA endoresement as well? Otherwise, I am guessing you cannot carry passengers (a privilege under your RPL) as you would be flying as a PPL solo student, rather than an RPL pilot in command.
Guest icthus8 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I thought I'd continue on to PPL once I've achieved RPL. Don't 't know about the CTA.

Ada Elle Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 I am flying a Foxbat A22LS. Is this from the school that put a J170 into Lake Burragorang last year? How do you find their aircraft? (I was tempted to go to them for an RPL on the cheap, but got so many recommendations for going to Camden...
Guest icthus8 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Hi Ada, sorry I don't know anything about the incident you are referring to or the school that you are referring to either.
Ada Elle Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Actually, I might be getting confused. Does anyone know who owned 24-7852?
Guest icthus8 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 This must be what you're referring to http://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/wiki.php?id=175021
