I have 600/6 Condor tyres They seem to be pretty good most times...there are turfglide and others but they dont tend to be large in diameter only in width

Great. Now I'm restricted on the front with the fork size ???.

Will all the big tyres clear my brake calipers ok ???

Dan3111 on this forum has some larger tyres that will fit....I think he still has them..look in the adverts. You can just fit a 600/6 in the std front forks

I looked at those tyres. I'm hoping that 21 inch ones would fit. Does anyone know.

Hi Lyndon

I imported these direct from Desser Tire and Rubber in the states, their service was great. The mains are Aero Classic brand, only for LSA and experimental and so can't be put on a certified GA plane. The Condor though is OK for that and came with a release form, not that it is needed for microlight here.

Like lots of things in life the mains aren't quite 21" but close enough.

Landed price with tubes was$900NZD, was a lot cheaper than trying to source them here.

Yep, probably cost me a few knots but didn't get this frame to go fast. Did add a few pounds but well, well, worth it for strip work. The aircraft has been landed on gravel bars and the like and I also gleaned a bit more prop clearance from the change.

Nice, what was the weight of those?

Going from 15/600 x 6 600 (I think that was the size) cost me nearly 10 kg, empty I'm 305 kg now.

I take it I need the bigger fork on the front ??? But the front is smaller. Can you explain what you have on the front please.

Hi Lyndon

To fit the 600 x 6 Condor I just re drilled the axle hole a little lower to save having to make new forks and reversed the four bolts so the heads are facing the tyres.

Peter. Got the link for rears about 225 USD each. Would you have a link for the front condor. Last thing I want is the incorrect tyre coming from the USA.

Ta.

The condors for the noseleg you can get here they are used on Cessnas...about 100 bucks well used to be and just redrill the axel hole 15mm down from the original holes. If you look on my build thread I think I did photos there
