DWF, partner and friends arrived at Shepparton this evening from Temora.

Flying Cirrus, C177 RG and Piper Arrow, they came across the Nullabor from the South-west corner of WA tracking Forrest, Port Pirie, Canberra, Temora and then Shepp.

Really great to meet them and see other mature-aged pilots enjoying themselves. We socialised a bit at the Aeroclub this evening and they are coming back in the morning for our fantastic pancake brekky which is held on the first Sunday each month.

Not really sure...but somewhere along the line I lost the confident immortality of youth and found the cautious carefulness of older folk.

I think we pilots sum it up in the adage that:

There are bold pilots and old pilots, but there are no bold old pilots

One of my wife's favourites !

Son, you're going to have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming a pilot. You can't do both.

As you mature (and use up your three score years and ten) you enter your second childhood and the fun starts (continues) all over again.

Thank you Kaz and members of the Shepparton Aero Club for your hospitality and assistance on Saturday evening and a great pancake breakfast this (Sunday) morning.

I can highly recommend the meals and friendly reception at SAC so if you are close or passing drop in. They do a Friday evening meal, a Saturday lunch and the famous Sunday morning breakfast.

Yes, you can have too many. Just borrow someone else's, occasionally, to remind yourself your decision was the wrong one, and you are humble about it, and admit it and make the other guy happy. (Don't apply this to women). Ne marche pas. Nev

I must be a real man as I don't have any boys.

Not sure if I have matured. More like wine, doesn't mature, just turns to vinegar.
