kaz3g Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 DWF, partner and friends arrived at Shepparton this evening from Temora. Flying Cirrus, C177 RG and Piper Arrow, they came across the Nullabor from the South-west corner of WA tracking Forrest, Port Pirie, Canberra, Temora and then Shepp. Really great to meet them and see other mature-aged pilots enjoying themselves. We socialised a bit at the Aeroclub this evening and they are coming back in the morning for our fantastic pancake brekky which is held on the first Sunday each month. Kaz 2
rankamateur Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Just out of interest Kaz, at what age does a pilot mature? 2
kaz3g Posted October 3, 2015 Author Posted October 3, 2015 Not really sure...but somewhere along the line I lost the confident immortality of youth and found the cautious carefulness of older folk. I think we pilots sum it up in the adage that: There are bold pilots and old pilots, but there are no bold old pilots Kaz 1 1
Camel Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 One of my wife's favourites ! Son, you're going to have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming a pilot. You can't do both. 2 1
facthunter Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Pilot's don't have to mature even if they reach MATURE age. Nev
jakej Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Grow up !! what's that, I'm having too much fun to do that:laugh:
Guernsey Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Just out of interest Kaz, at what age does a pilot mature? When his blood is worth bottling. Alan. 1
DWF Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 As you mature (and use up your three score years and ten) you enter your second childhood and the fun starts (continues) all over again. DWF
DrZoos Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Boys never grow up they just get more expensive toys...he who dies with the most wins! lol 1
DWF Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Thank you Kaz and members of the Shepparton Aero Club for your hospitality and assistance on Saturday evening and a great pancake breakfast this (Sunday) morning. I can highly recommend the meals and friendly reception at SAC so if you are close or passing drop in. They do a Friday evening meal, a Saturday lunch and the famous Sunday morning breakfast. DWF (and friends)
facthunter Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 The way you distinguish the Men from the Boys is by the size of their toys. Nev 1
facthunter Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I'll take you word for it. Which country do you have stats for? Better not go there. Nev 1
jakej Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Boys never grow up they just get more expensive toys...he who dies with the most wins! lol Wins what ?? me , I'd rather stay vertical & have less toys
facthunter Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Yes, you can have too many. Just borrow someone else's, occasionally, to remind yourself your decision was the wrong one, and you are humble about it, and admit it and make the other guy happy. (Don't apply this to women). Ne marche pas. Nev
Yenn Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I must be a real man as I don't have any boys. Not sure if I have matured. More like wine, doesn't mature, just turns to vinegar.
DrZoos Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 haha...that could be taken soooooo wrongly...i think you dirty barmaids have very sick minds..
