keith.b Posted October 13, 2015 Author Posted October 13, 2015 AHH Keith you need the JG patented bungee remover/replacer :) Well, I don't. Not that I know what a JG bungee tool looks like... Regards Keith
Kyle Communications Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 It is really easy to make one and makes it so easy to change with the engine in place
bexrbetter Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Back to the door handles, get to a car wrecker and get some common old flush, lift up car handles. 1
eightyknots Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 ...or wait for the BEX-2016, only ten weeks till 2016 begins. I hope he can get it to market soon, The market needs it!But I have been planning this for the last 5+ years. Regards Keith I couldn't agree with you more. We really a low cost (but reliable!) light aircraft engine manufacturer to keep the market honest.

Regards Keith
keith.b Posted October 14, 2015 Author Posted October 14, 2015 Back to the door handles, get to a car wrecker and get some common old flush, lift up car handles. I did think about that but I would need to set it up for 3 point latch, as I been told the aft side of the bubble doors suck open about an 1" in flight. But will give it more thought. Regards Keith

Regards Keith I've read about some of them actually coming off in flight. Definitely get a multi-point latch. keith.b Posted October 14, 2015 Author Posted October 14, 2015 I've read about some of them actually coming off in flight. Definitely get a multi-point latch.. Yeah, Sound advice.. The extra speed with of the CruZer over the 750 STOL, I would have to agree 3 point latch is the only way to go, with bubble doors.
Kyle Communications Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 That tool looks pretty easy to make Mark - probably even in my capabilities! It is super easy to make Marty and works a treat. Just 2 bits of 19mm sq tube and 2 bits of 19mm flat then weld the flat as side frames and drill some holes. The hardest part to make is the little hook on the end made from a piece of round steel. You just heat it up til it glows then using a rod make a lip on it. This holds the bungee and stops it coming off when fitting. You just need to make a fork or some arrangement so that the top of it hooks over the middle top of the engine mount frame. This goes in behind the engine and you can remove and fit a new bungee with ease Mark
