MGADriver
Hi, At last doing something other than ground based. Finding these forums full of good info ... will be helpful when I eventually get a licence and something to use it in. Training in Jabs and so far all is good (though the instructor throwing in the start of a spiral dive when I wasn't expecting it did grab my attention).

Soleair
Blimey! They're lovely! I had a 1500 MGA which died of rust, and an MGBGTV8 that was lots of fun. Oh, & I drove a Mk 2 Midget for 15 years. Eventually had to give it up after the 2nd son was born. First one fitted (along with a hanglider), but 4 up in a Midget was just too many. Great cars. But it's aeroplanes now - good luck with your ambition. Bruce

MGADriver
Thanks folks. I should add that when I first Googled the weight of the MGs' shells when restoring them the first response was "depends on how much of the rust has fallen off !". They are now just daily drivers used mainly to get me to the flying lessons ... Which continue to progress ... slowly ...
facthunter
Sell it to buy more flying time. I only ever owned one (a. TC) But briefly rallied a "B". ( not too good on corrugations, but LOVELY exhaust note). Nev
