red750 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 CAREFUL, THIS CAN BECOME AS ADDICTIVE AS FROGGER OR PACMAN You must hold the left mouse button down to go up...release to go down...MOST DIFFICULT Some people have worn their finger out on this. If you are working for a living, do not forward to your co-workers.. The rest of the day will be useless to the company.. Think you can fly a helicopter? Click on the link below and give it a whirl! http://www.hurtwood.demon.co.uk/Fun/copter.swf 1
Russ Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 The " helo" thing is no big deal, have had numerous goes. ( lift off, hover, fly, land ) The " skills " any here would pickup easily. It's that.....or I'm a " natural " But seriously tho.....it's no big deal getting the basics of flying one. Perhaps the schools promote the " idea" to achieve $500 + per hr training. Now the fight begins.......
facthunter Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 I'm sure you will improve with time, but it's just another time waster. I got motorbikes to get ready for tomorrow. It's going to be a bit too warm I reckon. Nev
pmccarthy Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 My wife did a TIF in a helicopter and reckons it's dead easy. Just think of where you want to go and it goes there. This is the same wife who tells me to stop stuffing about with all the preflight checks and just get in and fly. 1 3

TRADE HER IN for a more useful model ? ? ? But yes Peter,. . .Helicopters are dead easy to fly,. . . .only took an experienced aviator like me around 200 hours to learn to hover,. . then the rest was easy. Learning all about "Translational Lift" ( or was it transitional ?. . . . .) and next time,. . the instructor says he might even put the dual controls in if I show any promise. . .
