MGADriver Posted December 8, 2015 Share Posted December 8, 2015 Hi, Hervey Bay is the closest ... but ... there is also a private air park at Pacific Haven just out of Howard which is about 30 minutes from Toogoom. There is also a private strip just out of Burrum Heads (on the right as you head out towards Howard) fronting the road however the last time I went past even though it was well maintained it had the gables across the strip. Further afield there is the Childers strip (about 40 minutes) and Maryborough (also about 40 minutes). Happy hunting ... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Looking on google earth it is the first cleared property on the right past the the treed property when travelling away from the Pialba - Burrum heads road. On the right just past the slight right hand kink in the road. Remember looking back in 2009 when it was for sale for $750K approx. There is also an airstrip on Toogoom Island on the northern side of the Beelbi creek mouth. Was for sale around the same time as above property, price was about 4MIL. did have cabins on property and was marketed to small resort buyers. You could try contacting the local real estate to see if they can help with contacts. Mark Pearce from Pacific Haven may have better updated local knowledge, some members of this forum will have his details that they can pass on to you. Wayne.
