Flight crew incapacitation involving a SOCATA TBM 700, registered VH-YZZ, Lake Macquarie ALA

The ATSB is investigating a flight crew incapacitation involving a SOCATA TBM 700, registered VH-YZZ, at Lake Macquarie ALA, New South Wales on 15 December 2015.

 

During approach, the pilot became momentarily incapacitated and the aircraft subsequently collided with the runway, resulting in substantial damage.

 

As part of the investigation, the ATSB will interview the pilot and gather additional information.

 

A report will be released within several months.
