Scottalini Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Hi from Brisbane. Got my PPL in 1970, as a lad. Haven't flown since. Been following aviation, mainly via Kitplanes for many years. Fantasised about building, but decided from experience, building is more about the journey, than the arrival. Think I would buy a new Jab, seeing they are only up the road, so to speak. Though where to keep it, is a problem for a city dweller. 2
pmccarthy Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 You are still a licensed pilot, just need to get some update training.
Scottalini Posted January 1, 2016 Author Posted January 1, 2016 Thanks for all your thoughts.Talk about procrastination! I'm a champion! I'll concentrate on getting a kite first, and the training shall follow.
bexrbetter Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Talk about procrastination! I'm a champion! You should come to our Brisbane Procrastinator's January meeting, although we have moved it back to February now. But that's not definate.
bexrbetter Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 I'll be there, or not.... Well we'll let you know the exact dates by email. Or maybe text message, haven't which decided yet. Of course we could write to you as that would be more personal.
nomadpete Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Welcome to the Procrastinator's forum. Looks like you'll fit in just fine....
scotsman Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Scottish Italian? If not apologies for stealing your potential first choice of name on the forum!
Marty_d Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Hi from Brisbane. And a bloody long journey it is! Welcome Scottalini. Enjoy the banter!
Scottalini Posted January 3, 2016 Author Posted January 3, 2016 Hi Marty. Yes, the journey. Like I tell my wife, the old Chinese saying, " finish your house, you die!", is a great excuse! Enjoy your Zenith build!
Marty_d Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Thanks mate. That sounds similar to what Nev (Facthunter) said not so long ago... the definition of an optimist is a scratch builder who thinks he's going to live long enough to finish it...
