derekliston Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Just watching a Channel Seven news item about a Queensland Spitfire pilot who has just turned 100. What did they show to accompany the segment? Film of a Hurricane!!! Wouldn't you think they would get THAT right? I guess at least it wasn't a Cessna!!!!
Robbo Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Send her to me, she needs a good spanking for not wearing that seatbelt! 1

Does it matter, 99.9% of the population wouldn't be able to tell the difference I'm just happy to see someone who has put his life on the line (for our freedom to sit and write on our computers whatever crap we think is important) get some recognition for what he has done. facthunter Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Spitfires only did part of the job in Britain. The main worker was the Hurricane. Pilots who flew in the pacific mightn't have been near any Hurricanes. Nev

I also happen to think that they should be able to spell and to string together a grammatically correct sentence. 1

facthunter Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Isn't that the truth. There's a whole lot of beaut stuff on historic aircraft complete with the correct noises just for the looking. Nev
