BigPete Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Just fitted the new jets to my Jabiru J160c as per the latest Service Bulletin. ;) Power is uneffected, but temps are down in the climb out (no where near the yellow) and it's so much smooooooother! ;) Yay! regards
Bigglesworth Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 What about in the way of fuel consumption?
BigPete Posted October 20, 2007 Author Posted October 20, 2007 Don't know yet - will have to see how it goes. :;)4: One things for sure, I'd rather burn a bit more fuel than burn a valve. :) A few extra liters per hour is cheap peace of mind. ;) regards
BigPete Posted December 21, 2007 Author Posted December 21, 2007 After flying for two months with the new jets I'm probably burning 1.5 to 2 extra liters per hour :):) - small price to pay for cooler running and peace of mind. ;);) regards
motzartmerv Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 just got back from a trip from camden to Biloela (near rockhampton) . The new jets were put in just before we took off..Deffinatly burned a little more fuel for the power setting..But 4785 never approached the yellow of the oil temp even b4 the jet change, but the cht runs very cold, and curiously the cht gets into the yellow on the cold end during climb..very strange and unnerving when descending and then going to cruise power..
rick-p Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Was the extra fuel ok, no problems? Regards, Rick-p
