yeah, I saw that. I don't like the "initially he was Ok then his condition deteriorated" stuff. Sounds like internal bleeding, eg ruptured spleen can present like that.

 

They said he landed in vineyards. They look a bit like tank traps, metaphorically speaking.

Tonight's TV news pics showed a badly damaged aircraft, although it's hard to know how much of this was as a result of the rescue.

TV news showed power lines very close to the crash site. If the glider has hit power lines it could explain why it ended up in the vineyard.
