I enjoy this and see it as a low cost extension to the series that was done a few years back about foreigners flying for suziair that was shown on commercial TV......

But if I could offer a suggestion for you to consider.....when you are speaking into the go pro, slow down a little, and later while mixing in the background music, lower the volume of it when you are speaking......the issue I have is that I don't know the airports or the country well so don't pick up on names and places etc.......

Overall however fantastic....

I take it that the bulge that is often shown on the caravan RH Wing is the weather radar head?

Hi Andy, thank you. I will be doing a very low budget version of that:) I will however try and get another gopro on the wing or something for different angles. All suggestions are welcome, thank you. It is something I am having to get used to, talking to the camera. I will definitely soften the music when talking, I have just been a little lazy with the editing but have noticed that too.

Yes, the bulge on the RH wing is the weather radar, it comes in handy quite a lot around here.

Thanks so much, I appreciate it:)

Mike... Dead people fly with a lot of Airlines. Usually designated as Natural History Specimens. Nev

Hi Nev, it is just a little tactic to get people to watch the videos:)

Tell me Mike, do you get bored flying the same routes day in day out...do you get any variation?David

Hi David,

We actually normally get quite a lot a variation. We normally only stay in one base for a month at a time and then move to another part of Indonesia. So far in the 7 months I have been here I have been based in 7 different bases. The flying is always different even though we do the same routes and therefore keeps it pretty fun. However I can imagine once I am permanently based somewhere it may get a little boring. I am looking at going onto the Porter as soon as possible, so that should keep it interesting!

Cheers,

Mike

Hey Mike, enjoying the videos. That Porter would be a sweet gig. I'm assuming there will be a lot of competition amongst the pilots to get onto the Porter?

Hi, there is a bit of competition, but not as much as you would think. A lot of guys like the multicrew environment and prefer to stay in the cities.. I am not one of those people;) Most guys around are just here to get some hours to head into airlines and the Caravan is better suited to them then. We are having quite a lot of movement in the company as well. I hope and possibly should be looking at getting onto the Porter within a year if all goes to plan.

Cheers, Mike

That's very interesting in the cave Mike...did you find anything in there?...you guys should do some research about any missing planes in your area....go and find yourselves an old Japanese zero or similar that would be very exciting to find...

Hi David,

We didn't actually find anything in the cave, we searched all over with cellphone torch:) they had a few interesting things out side, but that was it. I can imagine there must be so many things to find, in the sea and the forest. I will definitely do that. It would be amazing to stumble apon a zero or something of the sort. Off to Raja Ampat for diving for the next week. Maybe will find something there;)

Otherwise no uploads for the next week. Unfortunately won't have any signal or wifi.

Cheers, Mike
