red750 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 A TigerAir Airbus, Flt TT 511 from Brisbane, made an emergency landing at Melbourne Airport after the pilots reported an unusual odour in the cockpit. Ambulance Victoria examined four passenger but they did not require hospital treatment.
dutchroll Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 I have smelled a lot of pungent and nauseating odours in the cockpit over the years, most commonly after departure from south-east asian ports. 1
facthunter Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Stowaways going through the engine? or just a low level departure over the town.? Years ago when there used to be a lot of oxides of nitrogen in layers NE of Melbourne you would see this brown layer and descend into it the smell came straight through the airconditioning a couple of seconds later. facthunter Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 People have died for less that THAT. Abuse of a captive audience. How do you know it's going to be a dry one, anyhow? May your DOG go with you. Nev
pmccarthy Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 In Goa today, just had prawn curry lunch. Mumbai tomorrow, will keep these warnings in mind. 1
