A great new flying documentary on SBS tonight.......Flying to the Ends of the Earth.

Just finished watching episode 1 about Marine Arthur Williams who is a paraplegic flying around the Himalayas in Nepal into some really tight airstrips.

The scenery is unbelievable and the flying is on the edge ! He even goes for a fly in a Foxbat through the mountains......big mountains.

If you missed it take a look it should be on SBS on demand, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Next weeks episode is in Australia , the shorts showed cattle mustering in the outback and some interesting chopper work.

I just caught the last 15 minutes. Brilliant. Looked him up, he's also done a doco about D-Day and another on the Mosquito. He's also restored a Cub and got his pilot's licence since being disabled.

For those with Foxtel, Ep 2 of Plane Resurrection is on the History Channel at 9.30 tomorrow night. This episode is the Red Baron's Fokker Triplane, "Return of the Baron".

I enjoyed it too. But I wonder how he operates the rudder pedals - must take a lot of modification to make them hand activated.
