Gnarly Gnu Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Only tards on twitter. My sympathies with the pilots family. 7 1
Kyle Communications Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 I heard today this may have been a savannah...is this correct?
Birdseye Posted March 11, 2016 Author Posted March 11, 2016 A Google search gets more details on the 1949 lancastrian crash than on this one. 1
Ron5335 Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Oh dear someone has an AGENDA on twitter! He might be preparing his CV for a job at CASA. 1
turboplanner Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Have a good laugh while you can; we REALLY do not want to attract attention like this because these people (with an agenda, or just with a bee in their bonnet) have a bad habit of giving politicians brain damage out of all proportion, and over time the politicians, who are sensitive to electorate nerves, usually decide to clean up the imagined problem. 6
Old Koreelah Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 They're out there. Living, breathing, erratic and dangerous. Met one who opposed anything out of the ordinary. When he found out I fly a home-built plane he exploded: "it shouldn't be allowed!" Presumably we should all be at home tucked up in front of the Teev. 1 1
Oscar Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Have a good laugh while you can; we REALLY do not want to attract attention like this because these people (with an agenda, or just with a bee in their bonnet) have a bad habit of giving politicians brain damage out of all proportion, and over time the politicians, who are sensitive to electorate nerves, usually decide to clean up the imagined problem. Such as people with an obsession against Jabiru engines? I assume you speak from experience.. This is veering away from the respectful consideration of yet another sad accident - can we leave out the agenda-driven cr&p altogether, please? 1 2 1
Bats Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Give it away Oscar, the only obsession on display here is yours. Very strange logic in pedalling your favourite bike, then immediately demanding an end to "agenda driven cr&p" - downright disrespectful in the circumstances I'd suggest. 5
DonRamsay Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 I heard today this may have been a savannah...is this correct? Yes.
turboplanner Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 And a QANTAS Lancastrian at that! Just for you Frankie, source: National Library of Australia.
cooperplace Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 what's known about the plane in the latest crash? the only info is that it's a savannah. presumably with a rotax?
rankamateur Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Yes. Did this Savannah have slats or had they been removed?
dutchroll Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Only tards on twitter Why am I not surprised at this quote? 1

Teckair Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 I think you missed my point....... You had FT agree with you that's got to be feather in your cap. 1 2 1
dutchroll Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 You had FT agree with you that's got to be feather in your cap. I'm not one to care about feathers in my cap, as anyone who knows me in real life will attest to. Nor do I keep a diary of who agrees with me and who doesn't. It's just that reading some of the throwaway commentary from some individuals brings back fond memories of the schoolyard in Grade 5. I've moved on since then. Others maybe not so much. 1
Ultralights Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Is there any more info on exactly what happened? being a Savannah owner, im a little interested. 2
