I have a couple of questions on behalf of a friend on another (non aviation) forum.

1 Are there any regular flight paths which pass over or in the vicinity of the corner of SA, WA and NT?

Is there a no fly zone around Mt Mowbullum as there are no lights on the TV towers there, the highest point in that part of Qld, and when he questioned it, he was told it was a no fly zone (his words)?

He lives at Bunya Mountain and says he rarely hears a jet, let alone sees one.

Here is a screenshot of the upper air routes in the region of the WA/SA/NT border. From it, you will be able to determine if there are any near your point of interest.

Check my post below for a screenshot of the Mt Mowbullan area.

I managed to crop the screenshot of the Mt. Mowbullan area as shown above. The Oakey restricted areas appear to be about 8nm to the south of Mt. Mowbullan itself but there is a danger area in the immediate vicinity. However, there are no flight restrictions in a danger area.

Waypoint "wener" is only about 15 nm to the south of the intersection of the SA, WA and NT borders. This is one of our main air routes from Sydney to Singapore and is very busy.
