Tablet for Savannah

Hi All,

I have discovered pretty cool place to install tablet.

It is easy to read even in bright sun ( because it is sheltered from it), does not obstruct outside view, and fuel gauge is still easy to read. Perhaps will need external GPS antenna if signal is average.

I use Easy VFR software and love it , would recommend it any time.

Please have a look at the photos

Obviously install at your own risk , the same like flying Savannah.

George

Hi George, I use the same spot on my little VGs.

I found that not having it on the front panel stop me from looking at it too often, which is a good thing.

I am using a Bluetooth Bad Elf external GPS connected to the iPad, better signal and it also significantly increases the battery life.

I like your idea of the pen holder.

I used to have my Ipad in the same spot but found it to be hard to use in bumpy conditions also being a big guy it was difficult to use. I swapped it to the right hand side and it was also very difficult because of the centre stick. I have since converted my Sav to twin sticks and have mounted a Ipad mini in the dash using a Airgizmo mount. I am very happy with this installation but having the twin sticks makes it very easy
