derekliston Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Anyone else in this community planning on visiting Ozkosh at Narromine in October? I am going, but driving down with the camper trailer. 2
spacesailor Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Hadn't heard of that one.Nothing on the "events calendar". But I'll pencil it onto my calendar, If I'm back from Fraser island in time. spacesailor

David Isaac Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Haven't heard of this one can anyone enlighten me please?Phil. Ausfly at Narromine Phil. Now called Oz-Kosh. 7th, 8th, & 9th October. An annual event put on by the SAAA and now shared with RAAus as of last year. A great event and a great location. Usually good weather because it is west of the divide. 1
Old Koreelah Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Ausfly Narromine ...Yep Derek, I'll be there setting up Camp David... Does that include the distillery? Can I book a patch of verandah?

bexrbetter Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 a great location. Debateable. But anyway, enjoyed last year and will try to get there again this year. Met 3 RF forum'ers last year, but still going anyway. 1 4 1
Old Koreelah Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 ...Met 3 RF forum'ers last year, but still going anyway. ...so you enjoyed it despite meeting 3 RF forumites? 1 2 1
Soleair Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Last time I went I enjoyed the event very much. But I didn't meet anyone from this forum, although doubtless many were there. It's a shame we don't have some means of spotting/meeting fellow forum tragics. Any suggestions? (apart from rolling up one trouser leg or wearing rotating bow ties, etc. . .) 1 3

(apart from rolling up one trouser leg or wearing rotating bow ties, etc. . .) Like your idea, Sol. Maybe some value their anonymity. Why spoil the mystique...? One year we had an informal gathering of forumites. When Ian had his shop set up it was a starting point.
facthunter Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Harley Davidson braces. Keeps your trousers up and I already have some. or big name tag so you can read it and don't forget who you are. Nev 1
DonRamsay Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Always a fun time around Camp David until the onion farmer turns up . Flying in for sure. Best of both worlds. I'll be better stocked this time to repay hospitality from last year. Beers on Don! Best way to organise a catch up is to nominate a time and a place. There is usually an OzRunways session on the Saturday - how about at the exit at the end of that session? Don 1
derekliston Posted May 24, 2016 Author Posted May 24, 2016 Needs to be some way to identify members. It would be good to widen my circle of acquaintances! 1
