Is there anyone out there who would be interested in helping me with all things to do with a Rotax 912A 80Hp engine. I don't want anyone who is going to get sick of lots of questions or be scared off by an ongoing teaching/learning relationship. I need to know each component, how it works, a diagram if possible, and how to maintain, repair or replace if necessary. Nothing is necessary yet.

I cannot do any courses down here in Tassie where L2's are short on the ground. I am currently an L1 but I need to learn everything there is to know over time of course.

I don't need a person who will abandon me halfway through.

If you are a good teacher and know the Rotax (Skyfox Gazell ) engine inside and out, then you are the person for me.

I will be eagerly awaiting your response.

Thankyou very much, Debb

Hi Debb Have a look at the Rotax owners forum. (Do a google serch for it.) Many videos and information about all sorts of things about the differnt Rotax models. Visitors can see shorts of the video education videos and you may choose to become a member; its about $40 AUS and is well woth the money. Have a look for free and decide.

Cheers

hi Mike, thankyou so much for your help but I have looked at so many things 'Rotax' and cannot find my engine ( it is 19 years old now) so I sort of gave up on that avenue, but I'll have another look.

Besides I need to be able to ask questions and get answers and helpful hints and all that sort of stuff so that if I am replacing something or whatever, I can email the person and ask exactly what to do, and what parts to get, all that stuff. Nothing better than having someone who you can talk with about all this stuff as there are always so many questions.

Thanks again, Debb ( if you know anyone, let me know)

Hi the 25's sometimes had 912 A1, A2 or A3 engines. Your Log book will / should have the the model of your present engine. Or with the engine serial number Bert Floods will be able to give you the engine model details; they may be able to suggest a maintenance person near you in Tas. Regards
