Guest High Plains Drifter Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 If you run one of these carby's on your Lyc or Conty it may pay to look at www.precision airmotive .com From the press release - "Precision Airmotive LLC has discontinued sales of all float carburetors and component parts as of November 1, 2007. This unfortunate situation is a result of our inability to obtain products liability insurance for the product line. Precision Airmotive LLC and its 43 employees currently manufacture and support the float carburetors used in nearly all carbureted general aviation aircraft" HPD
Guest High Plains Drifter Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 It may not be all doom and gloom just yet. Looks like the Lyc and Conty engine manufacturers will buy the rights to manufacture the carb's - The old geriatrics of aviation survive a few more years. HPD
Guest Lucifer Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Precision Airmotive carbs I understand that the licence and production machinery have been transferred or sold to another party, and that the carbs and spares will still be available. I can't remember the details, but all is well....
