hihosland Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Has anyone found a practical use for this location address system? www.what3words.com
Yenn Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 They could make the world more efficient by explaining what they are all about instead of expecting us to follow links and spend ( waste time) looking for more info.
pmccarthy Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Its just about remembering or communicating a location. Easier to remember than grid coords. And less likely to be miscommunicated to emergency services. So I could say a snake bit me and I am at Apple bird underpants, which tells them within about ten metres where to find me. It works because there are so many words in the language and using three means you have that many cubed location descriptors.
