Guest ericthered1975 Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 During the World War II many women piloted fighter planes or bombers, is transporting them from the factories to the front line or in combat. I share with you an extensive and fantastic collection of photos that show some these brave and beautiful women in action. Old Koreelah Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 Eric there are a couple of good docos about these amazing women. The Soviets went further than every other nation, allowing women to fly bombers and fighters in action, with considerable success.
spacesailor Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 I admire, Cornelia Clark Fort (February 5, 1919 – March 21, 1943) She was a US aviator who became famous for two aviation related events. While conducting a civilian training flight at Pearl Harbor,She met a war plane head-on, so wrenched the controls from her student's grasp and managed to pull the plane up just in time to avoid a mid-air crash. As she looked around she saw the red sun symbol on the wings of the disappearing plane and in the distance, probably not more than a quarter mile away, billowing smoke was rising over Pearl Harbor. she was the first US pilot to encounter the Japanese air fleet during the Attack on Pearl Harbor, She became a ferry pilot, then became the first female pilot in American history to die, while ferrying bombers ,another male ferry pilot crashed ontop of her aircraft . spacesailor 1

facthunter Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 The remains of them "those left" were still meeting up to a few years ago. They flew crappy Polikarpovs and they threw bombs over the side at night. If they crashed the Germans didn't give them anything nice to celebrate. Nev
