I think the Hughes Spruce Goose would have a bigger wingspan. I'm too lazy to check it up. Nev

The article itself says

"However, its wingspan is considerably smaller than that of the H-4 Hercules, known as the Spruce Goose, which was designed in the 1940s to carry Allied troops into battle. It is regarded as by far the largest seaplane ever built although it only ever made one flight, in 1947."

AG600 wingspan = 40m

Spruce Goose = 98m

So yes... a little bigger...

You're right Fallowdeer - apparently the Martin Mars has 61m wingspan making it half as wide again as the Chinese one.

Yes, there was some large thing built by Consolidated also, after the PBY Catalina, PB2?? with four engines. Martin became builders of large flying boats. Some were used for fire bombing until recently. Not sure how recent. There's a Saunders Roe jet as well that might be worth a look too. Nev
