pmccarthy Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Thinking of spending a week in Tas over Xmas. Does anyone know about Avgas at Friendly Beaches or St. Helens? Is there a card machine, not carnet? Can I park for a week at St Helens? Is there a better place in Tas to spend Xmas where we can be near the plane and do some local flying?
dunlopdangler Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Friendly Beaches apparently still has avgas available in drums and you might like to check with operator Freycinet Air 03 6375 1694 and as for St Helens, Break O'Day Council, 03 6376 7900 not sure about fuel there and they have AD charges. as for better places, not sure, I enjoyed the last time I was there (fair while ago now though)
Tasmag Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Bridport is anther option, would probably have to head to YMLT for fuel though. Some nice flying there and if you ring Bridport I suspect it would be substantially cheaper that YSTH (Who don't mind charging)
