ajbate Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Hi, I'm thinking of heading into Boona tommorow morning. Just wondering if anyone knows how much rain they have had and what condition the strip is in? I see the Pilots touring guide says the strip is 1060m long but talks about only 582 m between displaced thresholds. How much effective strip is there for takeoff and land? Cheers, Andrew
Bats Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Runway is just over 700m with varying over runs at either end. Give either Airsport (the school) or the gliding club a call for an up to date runway report, normally fine unless they have had heavy rain in the day or two before.
